About Me
Hello there! I’m Rich Meade. (It’s pronounced “meeed” in case you were wondering)
I’m a photographer, gamer, writer and serial hobbyist (the current hobby is Scotch Snobbery).
I grew up in rural Virginia as an antisocial band geek with a creative streak. After a failed attempt at college I made the move to “The Big City” of Atlanta to start again. With the hobby of photography in my back pocket, my parents suggested I try Art School. Boy what a life changer that was!
I studied at The Art Institute of Atlanta which helped me hone my technical prowess and turn me into a really cocky jerk, but I managed to get my BFA in Photography. I then continued my education at Savannah’s College of Art and design where I was taught how worthless my button pushing abilities were and that creativity and vision is where it’s really at.
Two years later I had my Masters in Commercial Photography and one less ego.
So I’m super qualified.
After school I spent most of my “professional” career as an assistant and retoucher for various photographers across the country. .
Which is what I call my “True photography education”.
That has evolved into working with clients such as Coca-Cola, You Lingerie!, The Golf Channel, CNN, Men's Book Atlanta, Flaunt Magazine, Hencar Productions, my sister's LinkedIn profile...
All of this has led to what sits before you today, Me (and my work).
Speaking of my work…It’s clean, consistent, technically sound and just the right amount of sex appeal to draw the masses. But hopefully you got that already.
This spiel is more about what you don’t see…and that’s my personality. Me, the remarkably proficient, oddly goofy yet supremely responsible human that really wants to create some images for you. My favorite thing in the world is to be on set creating images with incredibly creative people, for other equally, and likely more, awesome clients.
So give me a call! Or rather, pick up the phone the next time I call, and let’s chat about our hobbies and the stellar work we can create together!
